Ian Wyatt
President, Chairman, and Founder
Ian Wyatt is the entrepreneurial force and visionary behind the rapid growth of Business Financial Publishing. Since founding the company in 2001, Ian has been focused on growing the organization through strategic hiring and aggressive product launches.
Ian's current role at Business Financial Publishing includes strategic partnerships, new product development, finance, general corporate affairs, and growth strategies. His goal is to continue to grow Business Financial Publishing into the largest lead generation company connecting online advertisers with active individual investors.
Ian got his start in the online financial media sector in 1998 when he founded Business Financial Network and BizFN.com, one of the first financial content websites utilizing user generated content from a group of investing experts. Under his leadership, BizFN.com grew into one of the largest investment websites to host original content from top investment experts throughout North America. BizFN.com grew its free weekly investment e-letter, "Best of Business Financial Network," to a subscription base of over 200,000 individual investors in just two years.
Ian has served as a consultant, investor, and advisor to a number of public and private Internet and technology companies.
Ian is an active participant in the Washington DC chapter of the 6,400 member Entrepreneur's Organization. In 2006 he was one of sixty entrepreneurs selected from around the world to participate in the prestigious Birthing of Giants program at MIT's Sloan School of business, a three-year executive development education program.
Bob Bogda
Vice President, Content
Bob Bogda leads Business Financial Publishing's team of research analysts, writers, and editors to produce high quality research and actionable investment ideas for our audience of over one million active investors. A seasoned financial media executive, Bob, comes to Business Financial Publishing with more than 25 years of financial journalism and management experience, spending the largest part of his career as an editor and manager at the former Knight-Ridder Financial News.
At Knight-Ridder and its successor, financial news service BridgeNews, Bob was a leading member of an editorial team that developed an equities news and information service that grew to $15 million in two years. In that capacity Bob oversaw 20 sector-specific news reporters and editors in nine locations across the United States while developing strategic news coverage and products. Prior to that Bob served as Chicago Bureau Chief and later designed specialized writing and editing workshops and conducted seminars in bureaus on three continents.
Bob began his journalism career as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, covering the commodity markets at the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and has written for Barron's. Later in his career Bob developed a niche news service about financially distressed companies, and worked as the editorial content director, with emphasis on new product development, at a higher education publishing company in Madison, Wis. He received a bachelors degree in agricultural journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Lee Campbell
Director of Products and Marketing
As the Director of Products and Marketing, Lee Campbell oversees the development of new publications, websites, advisory services, and marketing communications. Lee directs a team of product managers and copywriters to create investment advisory content and services for individual investors, one of Business Financial Publishing's key constituencies.
Lee came to Business Financial Publishing with more than 15 years of direct marketing and product management experience, most in management and product leadership roles in previous positions with Pentagon Federal Credit Union and the Smithsonian Institution.
At Pentagon Federal Credit Union, Lee began a 10 year stint in the marketing department overseeing the development of print collateral materials and the credit union's nascent Internet presence. During his tenure Lee helped guide the credit union's website from mere "brochure-ware" to an interactive experience for accepting new memberships, originating mortgages and equity loans, loan processing, and online bill payment and online banking services. At the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in 1991, Lee was the sole marketing professional for the museum's education group, developing marketing strategies and initiatives that reached nearly 10,000 teachers and educators in the Washington, D.C. area and across the country.
Lee graduated from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC in 1991 with a bachelors degree in French Language and Culture.
David Smith
Vice President of Sales and Advertising
As Vice President of Sales and Advertising, David manages a growing group of professional sales executives dedicated to finding effective advertising opportunities for publishers, investment software firms, and others who want to reach highly motivated individual investors. David was previously the Director of Sales Education for MicroStrategy where his vast knowledge and experience in successful sales was used to train up and coming sales professionals.
David has also worked at other leading organizations like Thomson Financial, Phillips Publishing, and McGraw–Hill. David holds a B.S. in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is active with charitable organizations in the Washington, D.C. area.
